Meanwhile Garth has been working with local police on a bid for police funds to buy a speed gun to be based in Saddleworth.

The borough-wide scheme for 20mph limits on residential roads will be taken forward by a working group of councillors.  Hopefully their work on the practicalities of implementation will be helped by the costings evidence the Liberal Democrats produced to support the proposal.  It will soon pay for itself by reducing accidents.
